Endocrinology is the branch of Medicine dealing with the Endocrine System (Hormone-Producing Glands) as well as the production, secretion and function of hormones. It includes diagnosis and treatment of disorders associated with the lack or excess of these hormones. Hormonal imbalance may affect metabolism, respiration, excretion, movement, reproduction and sensory perception.
